About Me:
I have been professionally trained at the Metanoia Institute in London where I studied for four years. I hold a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Metanoia/Middlesex University. As part of continuing professional development I am in the Dissertation year of a Master of Science in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy together with a CTA (Certified Transactional Analyst).
I am registered with the following organisations.
Registered Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
The Metanoia Institute
The International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA)
The European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA).
As a member of these professional associations I subscribe to their Codes of Ethics and Practice.
I am currently working towards UKCP registration. I work using a relational approach to Transactional Analysis where the emphasis is on your needs and creating a working relationship to provide a space for you to be heard. A space for you.
I have worked with clients since 2011 at the Metanoia Institute Counselling and Psychotherapy Service and Ealing Abbey Counselling Services, both offering low cost counselling based in West London. I work with a cross-section of clients both in age, gender and presenting issues. I also worked as an Assessor at the Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy clinic giving me a greater insight into emotional and psychological problems.
I am experienced in dealing with the emotional issues that affect the elderly such as bereavement, loss of physical capability and changing relationships with family and friends. Growing old can be challenging; retirement brings changes to lifestyle and routine; bereavement can be a lonely place even when surrounded by friends and family.
I have experience of working with various issues including the following and will be sensitive to whatever problems you may be facing.
